This event is being conducted under the supervision of John Bowe Driver Training.
A ratio of 1 instructor per 4 trainees will be provided.
JB Driving will provide training reference material.

Sandown, Saturday 22 February:

08.00 - 8.40 - Arrival, registration & scrutineering             
08.45 - Safety briefing(compulsory for training & practice groups)
09.00 - Practice group track session 1 (30 minutes)                          
                     - Training group motorsport briefing
    09.30 - Training group circuit inspection
    10.00 - Practice group track session 2 (15 minutes)
    10.15 - Training group track session 1 (30 minutes) 
 Practice group and training group will then have alternating 15 and    30 minute sessions respectively.

These session durations are approximate and will be adjusted closer to the event when group sizes are known.           

Sandwich lunch and drinks will be provided for both the training and practice attendees between approximately 12.30 and 13.30.


Your vehicle will be subjected to a highly stressful day. You need to check your oil, radiator and other fluid levels along with the following items before attending.

*** You will need to have a passenger seat & seat belts or race harness fitted**

 TYRES:            Must be set for on-track conditions: at least 8 to 10 p.s.i. higher than the manufacturer’s recommendations. Metal valve caps should be fitted. Remove wheel trims that may fall off.

 BRAKES:          You will need to check (or have checked for you) that your brake pads have sufficient material for a day on-track. It is preferable to consult your brake dealer about having new high performance pads fitted for the day. Changing brake fluid to a high performance variety is also highly recommended.

 CLOTHING:      You will need to bring a helmet (John Bowe Driving have helmets available for hire at $25 per day, must be pre-booked and only available at Victorian venues). You should wear long-sleeved non-synthetic top and trousers, and thin-soled shoes. Driving gloves are also recommended.

 SAFETY:          It is recommended that a Fire Extinguisher is securely fitted in your vehicle. Clear your car of all potentially dangerous loose objects. Video cameras must be securely fitted, no hand held units permitted.

 NOISE:             Noise at Sandown must not exceed 75 dB(A), measured 30m from track.

 LUNCH:           Morning Tea & Lunch are provided. Please advise of any dietary needs.

 SPECTATORS: No spectators permitted for safety reasons. (Including; pets, children, onlookers).
