‘Merne at Lighthouse’ Bellarine Peninsula

Beneath the gum trees and overlooking the olive grove lies the destination of our Spring Run to ‘Merne at Lighthouse’ on the Bellarine Peninsula.
Merne has established a reputation for delivering exceptional food prepared by Josh Smith, formerly from the Royal Mail Hotel in Dunkeld, Gordon Ramsay’s “Maze”, Southbank and Tulip Restaurant, Geelong. Josh will be drawing on his experiences in providing a series of shared tasting platters of different complexity and flavours. For those interested in food this is not to be missed.
The run to Merne will commence at the Ampol service station, Cnr Princes Hwy & Maltby Bypass Werribee. Our journey will take us through some of the most scenic and picturesque roads in south west Victoria which are breathtaking at this time of the year. We drive around the You Yangs National Park, through the Brisbane Ranges and Barrabool Hills. From there we drive towards Moriac, entering Barwon Heads and Ocean Grove on to our last section towards our lunch destination.
Please note that the last 500 metres to the restaurant along Andersons Road is unmade.
On arrival at Merne you will be treated to drinks on the deck before moving inside to the main restaurant.
Cost: $85 per person with drinks to own account.
Meeting Locaton: Ampol Service Station, Cnr Princes Hwy & Maltby Bypass, Werribee.
Meeting Time: 9.30am for a 9.45am briefing.
Lunch Destination: ‘Merne at Lighthourse’ 650 Anderson Road, Drysdale.
Deadline: 12 noon Friday 8th September (unless filled sooner.) No refunds for cancelations unless your booking is replaced from a waiting list.
