Winter Run "Christmas in July"

With the chill returning to the air and the nights getting colder it’s a great opportunity to get together and celebrate Christmas when there is a real chill in the air. Time to think of snowflakes, cosy fires, and crazy Christmas jumpers, some of those magical Christmas moments that just aren’t practical with a Christmas in summer. Everyone is invited to our inaugural Christmas in July event, this will be an enjoyable day out with our Porsches and fellow Club members over a leisurely gourmet lunch, with the option of an overnight stay at the venue. Flowerdale Estate, nestled in the stunning Goulbourn Valley is opening on the day just for us, so we have the whole venue to ourselves.
This run has a slightly earlier starting time to enable us to make the most of the amazing roads and panoramic views on the way to Flowerdale and to give us extra time to sit over a relaxing lunch. We will assemble at BP Rockbank at 9.30 am, where you will be able to grab a quick coffee ahead of our briefing and departure at 10.00 am. The drive distance will be approximately 175 km, which means we’ll be at lunch around 12.30 pm. We will head out towards Gisborne before travelling across to Darraweit Guim, Romsey, Lancefield, Pyalong, Broadford and on to Flowerdale.

Meeting time: For arrival and briefing 9:30am to 9:45am.
Departure time: 10:00am
Lunch: Flowerdale Estate, 2285 Broadford – Flowerdale Road Strath Creek
Cost: $99 per person*, includes welcome Christmas cocktail, canapes and a three-course deluxe menu (refer below). Drinks are available from the bar, along with tea/coffee. *Children’s meals (3 -12 year old) can be provided at $25 per head if required.

Proposed Deluxe Menu
Flowerdale Estate’s Director of Food, Jonathan Alston and his kitchen team have prepared a Christmas inspired menu just for us, featuring delicious seasonal produce, sourced regionally where possible. Jonathan’s international experience extends to two 3-Star Michelin awarded restaurants including Marco Pierre White’s famed restaurant. Together with his kitchen team, he brings a culinary flair to your dining experience.
2 hot canapes roaming on arrival:
Warmed Milawa Brie & cranberry, chestnut crostini
Lakes Entrance Scallops wrapped in smoked maple bacon w/ red currant onion marmalade
Shared entrée:
Warm smoked Tasmanian ocean trout w/ horseradish & beetroot, dill crème fraiche & celeriac remoulade
Organic Goose liver from Tallarook & Black Winter truffle game parfait w/ Rutherglen Tokay & warmed spiced muscatels (served with toasted brioche)
Shared Mains:
Prime Victorian Beef Loin, served with Duck fat roasted potatoes, creamed spinach Avenel wild mushroom ragout & Brave Goose Shiraz Jus

Overnight Accommodation
Overnight accommodation is available at Flowerdale Estate. 26 deluxe valley view rooms are able to be booked. There is also 4 bedrooms/3 bathrooms guest house available for $750 per night. The house has a separate kitchen & lounge area and Includes breakfast in the homestead the next morning. The cost for a deluxe valley view room is $220.00 and includes a country style hot buffet breakfast. $90.00 for extra single bed to room (includes breakfast) $30.00 housekeeping surcharge to split king bed to 2 singles. If there is enough interest grazing platters may be available for a light dinner.
